ATLANTA, Ga. – The Clemson Tigers dropped their Friday afternoon road match to No. 22 Georgia Tech in Atlanta.
In doubles, the Tigers battled early to try and secure the doubles point and take a one-point lead. Georgia Tech was able to steal wins on courts two and three, which allowed them to steal the point ahead of singles.
The match on court one was unfinished, but the Tiger duo of Jenna Thompson and Eleni Louka were only down by a point, 4-5, against the No. 18 ranked duo of Carol Lee and Kate Sharabura.
In singles, Clemson continued to fight as Sophia Hatton secured a 6-2, single-set victory on court five. The Yellow Jackets secured wins on court one, four, and six to ultimately take the 4-0 win over the Tigers.
Up next, the Tigers will head back home to play host to Wake Forest on Friday, April 12, with the match slated for 5 p.m.
