SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Two Clemson Tigers, Sophie Clayton and Kenzie Crawford, wrapped up their run at the Wofford Invitational this weekend from Nov. 1-3 at Wofford University.
This marks the first time Clayton and Crawford have claimed wins as Tigers. On Saturday, Crawford defeated Mercer University’s Kennedi Jones, 6-4, 6-4. Similarly, Clayton defeated Presbyterian College’s Mary Ellen Longmire, 6-3, 6-1. On Sunday, Clayton’s win streak lengthened, defeating Mercer’s Jones in a stellar 6-0, 6-0 win.
Next up, multiple Tigers will see action this week. Amelie Smejkalova will compete at the ITF Lincoln 15K from Nov. 4-10, Sophia Hatton will compete at ITA Sectionals at the University of North Carolina from Nov. 7-10, and the rest of the Tigers will be at Georgia from Nov. 7-9.
