The Duckworth Family Tennis Facility

“What a terrific weekend for our Clemson Tigers and their play in the Duckworth Family Classic. The opening of the new facility starting with Mr. Ed Duckworth’s first serve on Friday was exciting, emotional and so memorable. Our Inaugural Team has so much to be thankful for starting with Ed and Jane Duckworth, who dedicated their lives for the last eight years to raise funds for our new Duckworth Family Tennis Center. In addition, we are thankful to our athletic director Dan Radakovich whose vision to place all Clemson athletic teams amongst the nation’s best programs supported the building of this incredible facility.

“Our team brought their spirit, their hard work and focus to win four important matches over the last three days and I couldn’t be more thankful for their efforts, as well as for our fans who cheered the team to victory. The opening weekend of the Duckworth Family Tennis Facility is a memory we will all have forever. Go Tigers!”

– Nancy Harris, Women’s Head Coach

“It was so awesome to play our first match in the new Duckworth Family Tennis Center! Our team and staff feel so fortunate to be able to train and play matches in one of the top tennis centers in the nation! Today was a great start to our season and we gained ground in doubles and singles. I was pleased with our discipline as a team and how we competed throughout the day. It was an honor to play Clemson Hall of Famer and former head coach Chuck Kriese and his well-coached Citadel team to open the season and facility.”

– John Boetsch, Men’s Head Coach
