Student managers are the liaison between the equipment room and sports they work. They also provide support to the coaches and staff during practices and games. The purpose of this position is to provide the student with relevant experience in the field of athletic equipment management for a Division 1 institution and to help staff and players in the day-to-day operations of the Clemson Men’s soccer program. This position will provide the student with relevant experience in the field of sports management and working with one of the best soccer programs in the country.  Students interested in this opportunity should have a basic understanding of the game of soccer, a strong work ethic, initiative, and willingness to help the program in any area of need. We seek individuals who are passionate about working in college athletics and who are able to balance time in the classroom and time at work.

This one-of-a-kind space will consistently host programs with the sole focus of further impacting Clemson student-athletes holistic development.

The graduate assistant is responsible for assisting with communication efforts, including digital (email), print (solicitation), written (articles and magazine), and social media for IPTAY to its current and prospective donors. Additionally, the graduate assistant will support IPTAY operations and have other duties as assigned.

This student will be mentored by IPTAY Communications and IPTAY Operations staff, with additional exposure to fundraising professionals.

The Marketing and Fan Experience industry is of the utmost importance to college athletic departments as we help to generate revenue, build strong and loyal fan bases, and aim to deliver gameday experiences that are unmatched. To do so, it takes extraordinary individuals that bring energy, creativity, and passion for the impact they have on the experiences of our student-athletes, donors and alumni, and fan base.

Clemson University is seeking two (2) highly motivated individuals who want to earn an advanced degree in the classroom and receive comprehensive mentorship and exposure within the marketing and fan experience field. Candidates will serve as primary sport contacts of highly visible, highly competitive programs, as well as serve in a support capacity with the department’s full-time employees. The students will be mentored by the Athletic Marketing & Fan Experience staff, with additional exposure to coaches, support staff, student-athletes and undergraduate students.

Interested students should have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, sports management, or another related fields; excellent communication (both verbal and written) across all levels of the department, and organizational skills; willingness to work evening, weekend and holiday hours; demonstrated experience in the field of marketing; strong computer skills; must be able to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously; display a creative mindset and willingness to think outside the box when it comes to marketing events and promotions.

Additional consideration will be given to those with experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (i.e. Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign, After Effects); Have worked with production software for videoboard, music, and lighting programs, and have experience with digital marketing (email communications, social) tools.

Within this, we are looking for one (1) individual with a specific focus on the motion design and graphics field. In addition to being a marketing contact for certain sports, this role will support the department by contributing to the game presentation elements showcased on the videoboard and LED ribbons throughout our venues. Responsibilities include designing and producing logo loops, game matchups, headshots, pumps, alphas, feature titles, lower thirds, fan prompts, advertisements, stat pages, and video treatments. This position is ideal for a highly creative individual with a passion for sports marketing and an interest in delivering high-quality, engaging visual content to enhance the fan experience. You will have experience in Premiere, After Effects, Cinema 4D along with a portfolio demonstrating an understanding of design concepts and motion graphics (2D and 3D).

Throughout this experience, the students will be provided opportunities to apply concepts and theories from the classroom to an intercollegiate athletic environment. Opportunities include:

• Serving as the primary marketing contact for assigned sports, including on-field coordination at football.
• Working collaboratively with ticketing, communications, and creative units to develop full marketing and promotions plans to increase awareness, sales, and attendance. Assist the sponsorship team on creating sponsorable assets and provide proof of performance where necessary.

Position Description

Sports Nutrition Interns will have the opportunity to assist Registered Dietitians in providing comprehensive nutrition services to the Clemson student-athletes of Olympic sport teams.  The internship provides hands-on experience in all aspects of performance nutrition including food service operations, hydration testing, development of nutrition education, and competition fueling.

Interns will be assigned responsibilities based on their experience level, interest, and performance in the program. Advancement opportunities will be provided to those who continue with the program for subsequent semesters based on experience level and performance.

Qualifications

• Working towards, or completed degree, in engineering, physics, mathematics, kinesiology, sports science, or related field
• Experience with database management, analysis, and visualization (knowledge of Excel, Matlab, R and/or Python preferred)
• Demonstrated independent sports science projects
• Ability to effectively communicate sports science data and information to sports performance, sports medicine, coaching staffs, and Clemson student-athletes

Position Description

Clemson Athletics seeks candidates for one Student-Athlete Development Graduate Assistant position. Candidates will get hands-on experiences planning, executing and facilitating programming in areas such as career, leadership and personal development as well as community service and outreach. Candidates will work on a team dedicated to collaboration and the holistic development of Clemson student-athletes.

Throughout this experience, the student will be provided opportunities to apply concepts and theories from the classroom to an intercollegiate athletic environment. Opportunities include:

Position Description

The Clemson Athletics Ticket Office is a division of the Athletic Department at Clemson University and is responsible for all ticket operations at sporting events hosted by Clemson Athletics. Ticket operations include the following sports: football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, gymnastics, women’s lacrosse, and men’s soccer. Ticket Office staff are generally responsible for providing assistance to the ticket office and its customers on game days, handling customer inquiries, the distribution of event tickets, and other tasks as needed.

Summary

Clemson University is seeking motivated individuals who want to earn an advanced degree in the classroom and receive comprehensive mentorship and exposure within the ticket operations field. Candidates will serve as primary sport contacts of highly visible, highly competitive programs, as well as serve in a support capacity with the department’s full-time employees. The students will be mentored by the Ticket Operations staff, with additional exposure to coaches, support staff, student-athletes and undergraduate students.

Interested students should have a bachelor’s degree in sports management, or another related field; excellent customer service skills; openness to learning new opportunities; and willingness to work evening, weekend and holiday hours.

Additional consideration will be given to those with experience using Ticketmaster or another ticketing system.

Throughout this experience, the student will be provided opportunities to apply concepts and theories from the classroom to an intercollegiate athletic environment. Opportunities include:

• Serving as the primary ticketing contact for assigned sports and assisting on all Football game days.
• Working collaboratively with marketing and communications units to develop full sales strategies and promotion plans.
• Oversee all aspects of ticket operations in Ticketmaster for assigned sports. Learn how to set up a season, the events, the manifest, the price codes, and more in Archtics. Learn how to use Account Manager to set up sales pages. Learn how to use TM1 for gameday sales, reporting, and monitoring scan data.
• Frontline customer service on game days and in the office by helping customers at the window and on the phones.
• Lead, mentor, and student liaison for the 15+ ticket office students. Oversee planning and engagement opportunities alongside the Ticket Operations manager.
• Maintaining relationships with external units, coaching staff, and administrators.
• Supporting the overall goals of the ticket operations team as needed
