Clemson’s athletic communications office is excited to work with you this year. It’s our goal to provide accurate, timely, relevant information about each of our sports, coaches, staff, student-athletes and athletic department initiatives in various media.
MEDIA AVAILABILITY: Media availabilities will be conducted in-person. All availabilities will be scheduled, recorded and distributed by the athletic communications office via our YouTube channel. Streaming of any availability by any outside entity is prohibited.
INTERVIEW REQUESTS: All requests to speak with Clemson players, coaches and staff should be directed to the appropriate member of the Clemson athletic communications staff. Members of the media who reach out directly to Clemson players, coaches or staff without prior approval of Clemson staff may face suspension or revocation of credentials.
CREDENTIALS: Arrangements for media credentials for Clemson’s home games must be made through the Clemson athletic communications office. Requests by accredited media members should be made through the Sports Systems online credentialing system. Contact Chandler Simpson (firstname.lastname@example.org) for football or women’s basketball, Ben Winterrowd (email@example.com) for men’s basketball or any member of the athletic communications team for more information.
EMAIL DISTRIBUTION LIST: Notes, stats, stories and other information are emailed out on a weekly basis from the athletic communications office. Media members may contact Brian Hennessy (firstname.lastname@example.org) to be put on the email list.
Clemson Radio Network: Affiliate Information
Highlights & Press Conferences: The ACC and XOS Digital have partnered to provide individual highlight packages from all ACC-controlled regular season football and men’s basketball games to approved TV news affiliates for the 2019-20 seasons. Upon the conclusion of each game, highlights will be available for local TV news affiliates to download and use in televised news programming at no cost. Outlets may access the highlights, along with any weekly head coach press conferences, through the ACC Media Portal. This portal replaces the ACC Video Clip Service (AVCS). The use of ACC game highlights provided through the ACC Media Portal remain subject to those restrictions outlined in the ACC News Access Guidelines. Interested affiliates should email email@example.com to register for the ACC Media Portal and for additional information. Approved affiliates will receive a confirmation email along with credentials to access the ACC Media Portal.
ACC Digital License: Per the ACC News Access Guidelines, game footage (station shot or broadcast) may not be distributed through digital platforms without a license. The ACC and XOS Digital now offer a turnkey digital highlight license specifically designed for local TV affiliates. This license will cover the use of ACC game footage across official station websites, apps, and social media platforms. Distribution of in-game highlights on any platform during the broadcast window is strictly prohibited, regardless of a digital license. Interested affiliates should email firstname.lastname@example.org to receive more information or to purchase a digital license.
ACC Digital Content: Agencies with interest in accessing or licensing ACC digital content beyond what is provided for in the ACC News Access Guidelines and as set forth in the preceding paragraphs should contact Chad Swofford, VP, General Manager of ACC Digital at Raycom Sports, at email@example.com.
