• The Tigers opened the season on Thursday, Jan. 28 with a 4-3 victory on the road at Virginia Tech, and then fell to No. 2 Georgia, 7-0, in Athens, Ga. on Saturday, Jan. 30.
• In the 4-3 win over the Hokies, Clemson won the doubles point, and then got singles victories from Ayan Broomfield at No. 2, Jenny Moinard at No. 5 and Ally Miller-Krasilnikov at No. 6.
• Against the Bulldogs, Broomfield won the first set 6-4 over the 22^nd-ranked singles player in the nation, Caroline Brinson, before falling in the match.
• UNC Wilmington is 0-1 on the season, after opening with a 4-3 loss on the road to Coastal Carolina on Tuesday, Feb. 2.
• Clemson 2-0 record in the series against the Seahawks, with both matches being played in Clemson, in 2012 and 2014.
• The last time the two teams met was in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, on May 9, 2014. The Tigers won a 4-0 decision over the Seahawks in that contest, with Tristen Dewar clinching the win with her victory at No. 4 singles.
