CLEMSON, SC – The No. 9 Clemson women’s tennis team opened the Clemson Winter Classic with a 3-0 mark against Brenau’s doubles groups and a 4-0 record against Georgia State’s singles players. Action continues throughout the weekend at the Clemson Indoor Tennis Center.
The Clemson Winter Classic is a flighted tournament, which rotates teams’ singles and doubles groups against one another.
In singles, Masha Belaya combined to win four matches in straight sets, dropping a total of eight games in the matches.
In doubles action, the Tigers went 3-0 with Wong and Laurianne Henry posting an 8-0 win, and Belaya and Ciolkowski also grabbing an 8-0 win.
The action continues on Saturday at the Indoor Tennis Center, as Clemson and Armstrong Atlantic play doubles at 9:00 am, and Clemson and Brenau’s singles meet up at 12:30 pm.
