IMPORTANT REMINDERS

    • Please allow extra time for travel to the game. While that extra travel time is important for most games, it is especially important for this Saturday’s game. Exercise patience with traffic and parking operations and use good judgment when making travel plans for the game.
    • Please depart from all parking lots within two (2) hours after the game ends and clean your tailgate area as much as possible prior to your departure. This will help assist cleaning crews with efficient postgame clean-up operations.
    • As with all early-season games, remember to stay hydrated throughout the day. Fan-friendly concession prices are in effect for the entire 2018 season, including $2 bottled water and $3 22 oz. fountain soft drinks.
    • Make appropriate adjustments to tailgate set-ups based on weather conditions (avoid flags, unsecured tents and other items that could blow away and cause damage).
    • Clemson Athletics and IPTAY are working with the Red Cross to support relief efforts for those affected by Hurricane Florence. Those wishing to contribute can visit redcross.org, call 1-800-RED-CROSS or text “FLORENCE” to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
    • Remember that metal detectors will be at select gates so provide yourself extra time to enter through the gates and follow the guidelines about what you can bring into Memorial Stadium: https://clemsontigers.com/metal-detector-and-clear-bag-policies/

***Hurricane Florence Update***

In response to the potential effects of Hurricane Florence, kickoff for the Clemson vs. Georgia Southern game on Saturday has been moved up from 3:30 p.m. to noon.

Clemson University officials continue to work with emergency management personnel, the ACC Office and Georgia Southern officials this week in preparation for Hurricane Florence and how it may alter operations for the game on Saturday. As the storm continues to be monitored, additional updates will be distributed by the athletic department and fans are encouraged to check this page for the most up-to-date information.

***Important Friday Traffic Note***

Beginning Aug. 30, College Ave. will be closed to vehicular traffic between Keith St. and Hwy. 93 on Friday nights from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.  The Clemson downtown area has become increasingly populated with both pedestrian and vehicular traffic, a change was made with the goal of increasing pedestrian safety. THE CITY ORDINANCE OF NO OPEN CONTAINERS IS STILL IN PLACE. During this time, CAT buses will reroute their pick up and drop off at College Ave. and Hwy. 93.  At 2 a.m., CAT buses will be on College Ave. at the intersection with North Clemson St.

Vehicles parked in the blocked off area will be allowed to leave; however, the Police Department is encouraging persons parked in this area to move their vehicles prior to the 9 p.m. closure time.

On game days College Ave. will again this year be shut down at the intersection of Hwy. 93 and College Ave. beginning at the start of the fourth quarter.  No left turn will be allowed onto College Ave. from Hwy. 93 during this time period and until traffic flow can be opened back up both directions on College Ave.
