It’s amazing to think that in just a few short days, our 2019-20 athletic year is officially underway as our women’s soccer program takes on Utah this Thursday at 7 p.m. at Historic Riggs Field.
Thursday will also be a memorable day for our university and the entire Atlantic Coast Conference as ACC Network officially launches. This is the culmination of a three-year ramp up, and we are thankful to our fans, donors and alumni who have consistently made their voices heard to cable providers.
Clemson is front-and-center in the launch, including what promises to be an electric atmosphere on Aug. 29 . Please know a limited number of single game tickets are still available at ClemsonTigers.com/footballtix.
Here are some things you need to know before launch:
Clemson has been a leader in demanding carriers who have picked up ACCN. If your carrier is not listed above, or listed on GetACCN.com , it is time to act. Demand it, or switch to a carrier that will carry ACCN. While other providers in South Carolina have opted in to offer ACCN, there are a few who have not yet made the move, including Atlantic Broadband and West Carolina Telephone. Comcast and Dish Network are among national carriers who have not reached an agreement.
It will be a busy day in town on Aug. 29, which includes a pregame show hosted by the College GameDay crew live from inside Gate 5 of Memorial Stadium at 6 p.m. It is important to note that this is not the Bowman Field GameDay show that you have experienced in the past. The best way to be involved is to arrive in the stadium early and show the incredible atmosphere for which Death Valley is known.
Clemson will be featured prominently on ACCN. In the first week, here’s what you can expect:
In addition to the linear channel, ACC Network Extra (ACCNX) carries all of this content, as well as thousands of live and on-demand ACC events through the ESPN App. You must have an authenticated account with an ACCN provider to access the content.
ACCN is a long-term investment in our athletic programs. There will be an increase in exposure for our university, student-athletes and teams. ACCN will also have a positive effect on recruiting and showcasing the innovative nature of our 15 member institutions.
Thank you again for all the great work and communication you, our fans, have done to date. This will all certainly help make ACCN successful and keep Clemson featured prominently on ACCN.
