Tigers Fall to No. 1 FSU in OT

Clemson faced an uphill battle as they headed down to Tallahassee to face the top-ranked Florida State Seminoles, who were without Heisman quarterback Jameis Winston due to suspension, with redshirt sophomore Sean Maguire making his first career start.

However, the Tigers were unable to capitalize in the final moments of the game, falling to the Seminoles 23-17 in overtime after failing to convert a fourth and one on their first and only overtime possession.

Freshman quarterback Deshaun Watson led the Tigers for the majority of the game, going 19 of 28 for 266 yards and a rushing touchdown. Running back CJ Davidson led Clemson in rushing with 54 yards on 12 carries. With the loss to the Seminoles, the Tigers fall to 1-2 on the season and 0-1 in the ACC.
