Stuckey Surgery Successful

Oct. 4, 2006

CLEMSON, SC – Clemson All-ACC receiver Chansi Stuckey celebrated his 23rd birthday on Wednesday at the office of Clemson team orthopedic surgeon Dr. Larry Bowman. Stuckey had surgery on his broken foot, an injury he suffered during a non-contact drill in practice on Tuesday. The graduate from Warner Robbins, GA will be lost for three to five weeks. The surgery was termed, “successful,” by Danny Poole, Clemson’s Director of Sports medicine.

Stuckey leads the 15th ranked Tigers in receptions with 25 for 337 yards and three touchdowns. He is tied with Calvin Johnson of Georgia Tech for the ACC lead in receptions per game with 5.0. He ranks 10th in Clemson history in that category with 116 and was on pace to reach the 150-mark for his career. He has caught at least on pass in each of the last 26 games he has played.
