Clemson, SC- All-ACC wide receiver Chansi Stuckey was among 13 student-athletes who received undergraduate degrees at Clemson’s graduation ceremony in Littlejohn Coliseum on Saturday. Ironically, Stuckey’s teammates were going through a football scrimmage across the street in Clemson Memorial Stadium, as Stuckey was receiving his diploma.
Stuckey is a returning first-team All-ACC receiver for 2006. He had an ACC best 64 receptions for 770 yards and four touchdowns last season. He is a preseason first-team All-ACC selection. He enters this season with 91 career receptions for 1060 yards. Stuckey received his degree in sports management.
In addition to Stuckey, three former Clemson football players earned degrees on Saturday. Patrick Sapp was the most prominent.
Sapp played for the Tigers from 1992-95, the started an NFL career.
He played two years with the San Diego Chargers and two years with the Arizona Cardinals. He returned to Clemson to take classes full time and received his degree in psychology on Saturday.
Steven Jackson, a senior on the Clemson team in 2005, was in the graduation class on Saturday, but was not present to receive the degree in person. He is currently a member of the Minnesota Vikings. Former walk-on David Schlink received his degree in sports management on Saturday.
