Position: Senior Director of Facility Management
The 2024 season marks Abe Reed’s 27th season at Clemson in a variety of capacities since joining the program as a graduate assistant in 1998 and being hired full-time in 2000.
Reed spent 25 seasons serving the equipment needs of Clemson student-athletes, including 10 seasons as the football program’s equipment director. In 2022, he added facility management responsibility for the Allen N. Reeves Football Complex and Poe Indoor Facility, and 2023 marked his first season focusing wholly on facility operations.
Reed is a 1997 graduate of Houston, where he earned a biology degree. He was a student manager at Houston before being hired in a full-time capacity serving multiple sports at Clemson. He previously served as the AEMA District III secretary since 2011 and was the AEMA District III Equipment Manager of the Year in 2012.
He is marred to the former Holly Hepfer of Sumter, S.C. They have two children, a son, Lance, and a daughter, Lillian.
