The Clemson University Men of Color National Summit is an annual initiative that P.A.W. Journey and its student leaders have contributed to as speakers for the past three years.

With over “2,000 high school and college students, business professionals, educators, government officials and community leaders from around the country, the summit emphasizes the importance of education, best practices and choices to increase high school and college graduation rates.”

As a part of life-skills development, a panel of current scholar-athletes present at the summit, sharing their experiences and advice to conference attendees. Utilizing their platform to connect with nationwide youth and professionals, the 2019 presenters spoke of their collegiate engagement, future career aspirations and personal accounts as men of color in collegiate athletics. The panel of Clemson football student leaders consisted of: Tremayne Anchrum, KJ Henry, Cornell Powell, Darien Rencher and John Simpson.

Due to COVID-19 limitations, we were unable to present at the 2020 Men of Color Summit; however, we look forward to the opportunity to engage in 2021 Summit on November 5-6! For more information and registration: https://www.clemson.edu/inclusion/summit/index.html
