Offensive Line Coach Ron West To Be On Tiger Bytes

Sept. 20, 2000

CLEMSON – Ron West, Clemson’s offensive line coach, will be among the guests on this Thursday’s airing of Tiger Bytes, Clemson’s weekly online show. Fans can e-mail questions to guests and listen to the show on ClemsonTigers.com, the official web site of Clemson athletics.

West is in his second year as the offensive line coach at Clemson. Thanks in part to the offensive line, Clemson is ranked second in the nation in total offense. Last week against Wake Forest, the Tiger “O” had its second greatest total offense day in school history.

Even though West is only in his second year as a coach at Clemson, he is no stranger to Tigertown as he played here in the late 1970’s. West was a member of Clemson’s 1977 and 1978 Gator Bowl teams as a reserve offensive lineman.

West will join Tommy Bowden, free safety Robert Carswell and women’s soccer coach Ray Leone on Thursday’s show. All four of the guests will be answering e-mailed questions from fans. Fans wishing to submit questions can click on the link above.
