• Clemson is in search of only its second win in Tallahassee since the Seminoles joined the ACC in 1992. The Tigers won the 2006 meeting behind the play of quarterback Will Proctor and running back James Davis.
• Since defensive coordinator Brent Venables joined the Tigers for the 2012 season, Clemson is No. 1 nationally with 530 tackles for loss. The next closest team over that same stretch is Arizona State (489).
• The Tiger defense ranks among the top five nationally this season in pass efficiency, tackles for loss and sacks.
• Cordrea Tankersley was named a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award on Monday. Tankersley has six passes broken up this season to lead the Tiger defense.
• Wide receiver Mike Williams established a career-high with 12 receptions in the overtime win over NC State. He has caught at least one touchdown in Clemson’s last four games.
