EA Announces NCAA Football 12

Today, EA launched a bracket-style voting contest that gives fans the opportunity to select their favorite college football tradition featured in EA SPORTSTM NCAA® Football 12. This year’s game captures the pageantry of these historic traditions, from the locker rooms to the mascots leading their teams onto the field, and now fans across the country can decide which gameday ritual is unrivaled throughout college football.

Today through June 13, fans can choose among 25 college football gameday traditions included in this year’s game and vote for their favorite on EA SPORTS NCAA Football Facebook page. The top 16 fan favorite traditions will then battle it out in a weekly, tournament-style showdown beginning on June 13, with voting to continue at http://www.espn.com/sportsnation through July 12. Every Tuesday, ESPN’s “SportsNation” will announce which traditions have advanced in bracket competition, with the winning tradition to be unveiled live on the show on Tuesday, July 12 – NCAA Football 12’s launch day.

“Building off our recent NCAA Football 12 `U Want ME’ cover athlete voting campaign on Facebook, which generated more than 140,000 votes, we wanted to continue to give our passionate fan base a platform to be heard,” said Randy Chase, product manager, EA SPORTS. “Gameday traditions are ingrained in college football culture, they inspire teams and fans and they bring us closer to our favorite programs. We’re encouraging our more than 660,000 fans on Facebook to stand up for their favorite tradition and ensure it receives the recognition it deserves.”

NCAA Football 12’s authentic gameday traditions let players feel the true emotion of college football as their teams charge out of the locker room and onto the field. With showstoppers like the Sooner Schooner (Oklahoma) and Ramblin Wreck (Georgia Tech), plus icons such as Chief Osceola (Florida State), Uga (Georgia) and Tommy Trojan (USC), players will feel like its gameday every day. Traditions featured in the game and included in the Facebook fan voting contest include:
