Da'Quan Bowers

Position: Defensive Analyst/Assistant Defensive Ends Coach

Da’Quan Bowers is in his second season as a full-time staff member at Clemson in 2024. After spending the previous three seasons as South Florida’s defensive line coach, he returned to his alma mater in January 2023 in a defensive player development role before becoming a defensive analyst and assistant defensive ends coach in 2024.

Bowers’ decorated college career at Clemson from 2008-10 culminated in him earning unanimous All-America honors as a junior in 2010. That year, the former No. 1 overall recruit in the country earned the Bronko Nagurski Trophy as college football’s top defensive player, the Ted Hendricks Award as the nation’s top defensive end and the ACC’s Defensive Player of the Year award.

Bowers was selected by Tampa Bay in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played five seasons in Tampa and played the 2017 CFL season for the Edmonton Eskimos. He entered the coaching ranks as a volunteer student assistant at Clemson in 2018 and 2019 while completing his Clemson degree in parks, recreation & tourism management.

A native of Bamberg, S.C., Bowers is married to his wife, Monique, and has three children, a daughter, Karsyn, and sons, Truth and Brave.
