Position: Associate Director of Player Personnel
Daniel Boyd is in his 10th season at Clemson and his first as Associate Director of Player personnel.
Boyd transitioned to Clemson’s personnel department in 2025 after nine seasons serving Clemson’s defensive staff. Prior to his transition, he served as a defensive analyst and assistant defensive tackles coach in 2024 after spending three seasons serving in a defensive player development role from 2021-23. He transitioned to that role in 2021 after serving as a defensive student coach from 2016-18 and as a video graduate assistant from 2019-20.
From 2009-15, Boyd served as a sniper in the U.S. Army with two combat tours to Afghanistan. A native of Lamar, S.C., he is married to his wife, Heather, and the couple has two sons, Andrew and William.
