On Thursday, Clemson linebacker John Leake hits chat to discuss the 2002 football season and the Tigers’ season opener at Georgia this Saturday night (7:45 p.m. ET, ESPN).
Leake is the top returning tackler for the 2002 Clemson defense. A native of Plano, TX, the linebacker had 134 stops last season as a sophomore, one of the top five totals in Clemson history by a sophomore. He also tallied six tackles for a loss and led the Tiger defense with 13 tackles in a Humanitarian Bowl victory over Louisiana Tech.
After playing only on special teams and earning a letter as a true freshman, Leake became the first member of his recruiting class to earn a starting spot. He will be in his second year as a stater and is one of the leaders on the Clemson defense. A marketing major, Leake turned 21 on Wednesday but wants to celebrate the occassion with a win Saturday night against the Bulldogs.
Leake won’t be stopping by until 1 p.m. ET on Thursday, but feel free to leave your questions now and we’ll save them for his arrival.
