Austin Named ACC Football Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week

Clemson guard Thomas Austin was named Atlantic Coast Conference Co-Offensive Lineman of the Week for the games of November 20 and 22, 2008. Austin shared the conference’s weekly honor with N.C. State offensive lineman Meares Green. This is the third time this season that the red-shirt junior has garnered the league’s weekly honor.

Austin helped the Clemson offense to a 13-3 victory over Virginia with 11 knockdown blocks in 71 plays. The Camden, SC native did not miss a snap and received a grade of 86 percent from the coaching staff. The Tiger offensive line held tough, not allowing a sack in 29 passing attempts.
