In 1997: Second-team All-ACC this season as he was a prime reason Clemson ranked sixth in the country in rushing defense and in the top 20 in total defense and scoring defense…three-year starter with 33 career starts under his belt, he has missed just one game in four years…fifth-year senior who made third trip to the Peach Bowl…had 18 tackles against North Carolina, most by a Clemson defensive lineman since Edgar Pickett had 19 against Wake Forest in 1983…ranked third on the team in total tackles with 79, he averaged 12 tackles per game over the last three contests of the regular season…his 18 tackles against North Carolina were memorable, he had tackles on six of the last eight plays of the game to keep the Tigers in range for a victory…also had nine stops at Maryland…had his only sacks at Wake Forest and against Virginia…had 16 quarterback pressures for the season, fifth on the team…had blocked extra point at Maryland…
