Series Note: Clemson has won 13 in a row over The Citadel. Citadel’s last win in the series was in 1931, 6-0 in Florence, SC. The last meeting was a 24-0 Clemson win at Clemson in 1986.

Tickets: Reserved seats for $25 apiece. A special $6 ticket will be available for students high school age and under at Gate 11 on the day of the game beginning at 4:00 PM. The gates to Memorial Stadium open at 4:00 PM.

Highlight Feed: Clemson will provide a video highlight feed of the Clemson vs. The Citadel game on Saturday evening. The feed will run from 10:30 Pm to 10:45 PM and will be available on Galaxy 11, transponder 8. The downlink frequency is 3860 MH2V. Other Notes:

Aaron Hunt is expected to start at placekicker for the Tigers. He is a first-year freshman. He would be the first first-year freshman to start the season opener for the Tigers since 1995 when Anthony Simmons was the starter against Western Carolina. The last first-year freshman to start any game for Clemson was Rodney Feaster, who started at linebacker as a first-year freshman against South Carolina last year. Robert Carswell, a senior on the Clemson team is the last first-year freshman to be considered a starter over the course of the season. He started six games at safety in 1997.

Will Merritt and Jermyn Chester are listed as co-starters at offensive guard and are expected to see similar playing time.
