Weight Room Awards
Strength All-American 2005 – The National Strength & Conditioning Association All-American Athlete of the Year program recognizes those collegiate athletes whose athletic accomplishments, in the opinion of the strength coach, reflect dedication to sterngth and conditioning. This year’s recipient joins 28 former Tiger strength All-Americans. Steven Jackson (460-pound bench press, 35 reps in 225-pound Bench Rep Test, 600 Squat, 420 Power Clean for an all-time team record, 35″ vertical jump, 4.58 40-yard dash)
Dedication Award – Tiger football player whose committment, work ethic, and leadership in the weight room serves as an example to other players. This year, the team voted two players as the 2005 Dedication Award winners:Anthony Waters
