Zach Jackson | Enjoying Every Moment

For senior wide receiver Zach Jackson, football has been a lifelong passion. Growing up in Acworth, Ga., football was introduced to him at a young age.

“I began playing football when I was six years old, and it was a game I fell quickly in love with,” remarked the fifth-year Tiger. “I have always wanted to do the best I could to help my team win.”

That dedication carried him through Allatoona High School, where he became a standout for his work ethic and reliability. When it came time to choose a college, family and fit guided his ultimate decision.

“After high school, I wanted to stay close to my family and I grew a big fan of Clemson,” said #89. “So it was great that I got the opportunity to come here and be a part of this program.”

Jackson joined the program as a walk-on in 2021. Now a senior, Jackson reflected on his time at Clemson with pride.

“Some of my favorite memories from my time at Clemson include winning the two ACC championships.”

Clemson defeated North Carolina in the 2022 ACC Championship Game, followed by a walkoff victory over SMU in the 2024 ACC Championship Game.

The relationships he has built along the way are what he values most.

“I’ve made a lot of lifelong friends and connections. Clemson has made it so it will be easy for me to network in the next part of my life.”

That sense of belonging has also inspired gratitude for the people who make the Clemson experience special.

“I appreciate all the support and love since I’ve been here. The people in Clemson are the best and will make you a better person. I really appreciate them.”

When he is not on the field or in meetings, Jackson enjoys slowing down and finding balance during his free time.

“I spend most of my time golfing or watching movies.”

As his final season winds down, Jackson has made it a point to enjoy every moment of the journey.

“I’m taking it all in and appreciating the little moments that I have left.”

That appreciation comes with the awareness that his time in Death Valley is nearing its end, a reality that motivates him to finish strong, both on and off the gridiron.

Reflecting on his Clemson experience, Jackson said the biggest lesson he has learned is simple but powerful.

“I always try to give the best effort and energy I can into whatever I’m doing, and to not take anything for granted.”

That mindset has guided him through his entire career and will continue to serve him beyond football.

After graduation, Jackson plans to return to his hometown in Georgia and begin the next chapter of his life.

“I plan to move back home and begin my search for a job,” added Jackson, noting that Clemson’s support system has prepared him well for that transition.

With a degree in graphic communications and a network built through his years with the Tigers, Jackson is ready to take what he has learned into the professional world.
