Position: Defensive Analyst/Assistant Defensive Tackles Coach
Daniel Boyd is in his tenth season at Clemson and his second as a defensive analyst and assistant defensive tackles coach in 2025.
Prior to 2024, Boyd spent three seasons serving in a defensive player development role. He transitioned to that role in 2021 after serving as a defensive student coach from 2016-18 and as a video graduate assistant from 2019-20.
From 2009-15, Boyd served as a sniper in the U.S. Army with two combat tours to Afghanistan. A native of Lamar, S.C., he is married to his wife, Heather, and the couple has two sons, Andrew and William.
