Will Swinney

Position: Offensive Player Development/Assistant Tight Ends Coach

Will Swinney is in his first season as a full-time staff member in offensive player development and assistant tight ends coaching roles in 2025. He served as a volunteer offensive assistant in 2024 prior to joining the staff on a full-time basis prior to the 2025 season.

Swinney spent five years as a wide receiver and holder on Clemson’s roster from 2017-21, and his 69 career game appearances tied for the school and modern FBS record. He caught 35 passes for 195 yards and a touchdown in 586 offensive snaps over his 69 career games with three starts, and he also rushed for a six-yard rushing touchdown among his four career carries for 11 yards.

A five-time ACC Honor Roll selection and two-time All-ACC Academic Team honoree, Swinney earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Clemson in 2021 and added his MBA in 2022. He is married to his wife, Hannah.
