Clemson, S.C.-Clemson football fans may want to huddle around their laptop for lunch this season, as Head Coach Tommy Bowden will offer up food for thought every week on his new “Tiger Bytes” webcast. The Clemson Tiger Network is teaming up with the FANSonly Network, to offer this unique internet exclusive on the university’s Official Athletic Site, www.ClemsonTigers.com.

The show will feature Bowden taking on-the-spot questions from listeners calls and e-mails, visits by players and assistant coaches, as well as a preview of the upcoming game. Jim Phillips will be the host. The show is expected to debut either August 31 or September 7 and air every Thursday at Noon throughout the 2000 football campaign.

“People in their offices can sit down and listen to it and eat lunch,” said Brenda Rabon, vice president/general manager for the Clemson Tiger Network. The show will also be available to radio affiliates who choose to air it, Rabon said. It is the first show of it’s kind on FANSonly’s network of over 65 university Official Athletic Sites.

“Clemson continues to be a leader in taking collegiate athletics into the wired world,” said Jeff Cravens, Vice President/General Manager of the FANSonly Network. “Tiger Bytes is a great concept which we believe will be replicated as athletic departments start to really understand and leverage the distribution power of their Official Athletic Sites. This show is a great step and we will work hard with our partners at Clemson to make it a top-flight interactive offering for the fans.”
