CLEMSON, S.C. – Yizhou Liu has been named to the 2018 All-ACC Academic Men’s Tennis Team, as announced by the conference Monday afternoon. It is the first career all-conference academic accolade for Liu.
Liu, a freshman majoring in psychology, finished the 2018 season second on the team in dual-match singles wins (14) and singles winning percentage (.700). The Nanjing, China native was also tied for the team lead in dual-match doubles wins (11). Liu started the season at No. 4 singles and moved up to the No. 3 slot by the end of the season.
To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic Team, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.
