CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson men’s tennis team opens its fall 2016 campaign this weekend, Sept. 23-25, at the Intercollegiate Championships in Athens, Ga. and at the Elon Invitational in Elon, N.C. Eight different Tigers are set to be in action in this weekend’s tournaments. The Tigers compete in eight different tournaments throughout the Fall.
After this weekend, the Tigers head down the road to Belton, S.C. on Sept. 30 through Oct. 2 for the SC Collegiate Championship. On Oct. 3-10 sophomore Alex Favrot and junior Igor Smelyanski head to Tulsa, Okla for the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men’s All-American Championships.
The Tigers have three tournaments scheduled for the end of October, the ITA Carolina Regional in Durham, N.C. on Oct. 14-18, followed by the UNCC Fall Classic in Charlotte, N.C. on Oct. 28-30 and the Birmingham Futures on Oct. 29 to Nov. 4 in Birmingham, Ala.
The final fall tournament scheduled for the Tigers is the ITA Futures that will take place in Niceville, Fla. on Nov. 5-9.
