“I could not be more proud of our 2020 recruiting class ranking,” stated Head Coach Robbie Weiss. “Matt Walters and I work tirelessly to recruit, not only very good players, but individuals that will fit into the culture that we are working hard to establish here at Clemson. We are really excited to welcome our new class of incoming freshman and can’t wait to get started. We feel very good about the current state of our program as well as its future.”
Clemson tallied 472 points towards the ranking, including four first-place votes. The Tigers fell just 23 points behind first-ranked Stanford. The last time Clemson earned a top-25 ranking for incoming class was in 2012 when they were tied for 23rd. Additionally, the Tigers received votes on five other occasions (2006, 2011, 2013, 2017, 2018). In 2020 the Tigers will add five newcomers, including two five-star recruits and two athletes ranked within the top-70 by the ITF.
