Clemson Hosts No. 3 Wake Forest Sunday, Third Top-10 Opponent in Four Matches

Clemson Notes: 

  • The Clemson men’s tennis team hosts the nation’s third-ranked team, Wake Forest (23-3, 9-0 ACC) on Sunday, March 31 at 1 p.m. at the Duckworth Family Tennis Facility.
  • The match against the No. 3 Demon Deacons is the Tigers’ seventh against a ranked opponent this season, their third against a top-10 opponent, their fifth out of the last six against a ranked opponent, and their third out of the last four against a top-10 opponent.
  • Clemson is coming off of a 6-1 loss at No. 5 Virginia on March 24. Against the Cavaliers, junior Carlos Kelaidis came from behind to win his match at No. 4 singles in three sets (3-6, 7-6(3), 1-0(4)).
  • Junior Simon Baudry leads the Tigers with 10 overall singles wins on the 2018-19 season, while fellow junior Pierre-Louis Dodens holds the team lead in dual singles wins with nine, to go along with a 9-5 dual record.
  • Dodens also leads the team in overall and dual doubles wins with 12, and a 12-4 record. Dodens and freshman Jacob Jahn have a 7-3 record in dual doubles play this spring.
