Clemson defeats Virginia Tech 4-3

BLACKSBURG, VA–Freshman Clint Boling defeated Matthieu Leboucher at number-six singles 6-3, 6-4 in clinching the match and giving 24th-ranked Clemson a 4-3 win over Virginia Tech in an Atlantic Coast Conference men’s tennis match at Blacksburg, VA Monday afternoon.

Clemson improves to 23-8 overall, 5-3 in the ACC. Virginia Tech falls to 13-7 overall and 4-4 in league play. The Tigers are ranked 24th in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll.

The Tigers will play at Virginia on Friday, April 15th in Clemson’s next action.
