A Letter to Clemson Fans from Dr. Phillips

Nov. 5, 2007

As we all know, we have the defending ACC Champions, Wake Forest Demon Deacons, coming to Death Valley this Saturday with a noon kick-off. The noon kick-off is necessitated by the ACC television contract and will be televised on ESPN2.

While this kick-off is earlier than we would like, I, nonetheless, want to encourage everyone to arrive early and be in the stadium when the “Tigers Rub the Rock and Run Down the Hill”. Come as you do – in “Solid Orange” – and help the Tigers against the reigning ACC Champions. This is going to be a tough game – and, Tiger fans can make a difference in the outcome. Also, keep in mind that there will be a national television audience – recruits watching on TV and in Death Valley. Let’s show them again why Clemson is a very special place to be.

Again, arrive early in a sea of orange and help us beat the Demon Deacons. And, finally, let me thank you for your Solid Orange support and the Pride you exhibit in sportsmanship and representation of a great University.

GO TIGERS! – BEAT WAKE FOREST!

In Solid Orange,

Terry Don Phillips Director of Athletics
