Tigers in the Pros: June 10-16

The Tigers’ presence was felt around the nation this week as 10 former #ClemsonUnited players saw professional action over the weekend.

Major League Soccer (MLS)

Diego Campos (‘17) started in the Chicago Fire’s 2-1 loss to Saint Louis FC, tallying a pair of shots in the contest.

Tommy McNamara (‘13) played all 90 minutes for the Houston Dynamo, taking two corner kicks in the club’s 3-2 victory over Austin Bold on June 11 in the U.S. Open Cup.

Andrew Tarbell (‘15) made his first start of the season for the San Jose Earthquakes, posting five saves on three shots faced. The keeper helped the Quakes to a 4-3 victory over Sacramento Republic FC on June 11 in the U.S. Open Cup.

Joe Bendik (Columbus Crew) served as a reserve option over the weekend.

United Soccer League (USL)

Patrick Bunk-Andersen (’18) started on the backline for Toronto FC II, playing a full 90 minutes in the club’s 3-3 draw with North Texas FC on June 12.

Amadou Dia (’14) started for Phoenix Rising FC, anchoring the defense in Phoenix’s 3-0 shutout of Orange County SC on June 15.

Kyle Fisher (‘15) subbed on in the 69th minute in Birmingham Legion FC’s 4-1 loss to Charlotte Independence on June 15.

Phanuel Kavita (’14) played all 90 minutes in Saint Louis FC’s 3-1 loss to Bethlehem Steel FC on June 15.

Jack Metcalf (’13) started and played all 90 minutes at midfield for Atlanta United in the club’s 5-1 loss to Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC on June 15.

Kyle Murphy (’15) started for Loudoun United FC, playing full time in the team’s 2-1 setback against Indy Eleven on June 15.

Cody Mizell (’12) totaled two saves on seven shots faced in New Mexico United’s 5-1 loss to Las Vegas Lights FC on June 15.
