Shannon Named to TDS Team of the Week

Sophomore midfielder Oliver Shannon has been named to this week’s TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week. His two goal effort against rival South Carolina Friday night at Historic Riggs Field earned him the honor. 

Shannon now has three goals on the season and is Clemson’s leader in that category. 

Shannon joins Michael Shipp of Notre Dame as the only other ACC player honored this week. 

Clemson and Notre Dame meet Saturday night in South Bend in what will be Clemson’s first ACC match of the 2015 season. The Tigers and Fighting Irish met last year in the semifinals of the ACC Tournament in Cary, N.C., Clemson advanced past Notre Dame in penalty kicks.
