Greensboro, NC – Clemson’s Oguchi Onyewu and North Carolina’s Logan Pause share this week’s ACC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week Honor.
Clemson defensive back Oguchi Onyewu and North Carolina midfielder Logan Pause share this week’s Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week honor after leading their respective teams to victory last week.
Onyewu, a sophomore from Olney, Md., anchored a Tiger defense that did not give up a goal in tournament wins against Cal Poly SLO and Virginia Commonwealth. He was named defensive MVP at the Clemson/Nike Invitational and also contributed an assist in the 1-0 victory over Cal Poly SLO.
Pause, a midfielder hailing from Hillsborough, N.C., was expected to miss the entire season after summer knee surgery. He returned to action this week, less than halfway through the season, and in his first game back scored the game-winner in a 1-0 victory over Duke.
