Clemson Notes:

• Clemson is coming off a 3-2 double overtime loss at No. 2 Wake Forest last Friday night. Robbie Robinson scored both of Clemson’s goals off Diego Campos free kicks, including one in the 89th minute that forced overtime.
• Campos, Robinson and Jason Wright are tied for the team lead in goals with four each. Three of Campos’ goals were game-winning, tied for second in the ACC. Kimarni Smith ranks second on the team with three goals, including the overtime game-winner against Georgia Southern on Sept. 4.
• Oliver Shannon, Patrick Bunk-Andersen, Malick Mbaye, Tanner Dieterich, and Justin Malou have also found the back of the net for the Tigers this season, with Shannon and Bunk-Andersen doing it twice.
• Campos also leads the team with six assists.
• Ximo Miralles has totaled 26 saves against eight goals allowed in just under 870 minutes, while Daniel Kuzemka has allowed no goals with one save in 55 minutes.
• Miralles ranks fourth in the ACC in individual goals against average (0.83) and third in save percentage (.765) and earned ACC Defensive Player of the week for Sept. 25 after posting two clean sheets against UCLA and Pitt.
• Clemson is tied for first in the ACC in goals allowed (eight in 10 matches) and ranks third in goals against average (0.78). The Tigers are also tied with NC State, Duke, Pitt and Wake Forest for second in the conference with four shutouts.
• Clemson ranks first in the ACC and fifth nationally in average home attendance (2,652 per match).
• Bunk-Andersen scored his first goal of the year against rival South Carolina and earned ACC Defensive Player of the Week for Sept. 5 as a result.
• Clemson opened the season with four consecutive wins for the first time since 2013.
• The Tigers defeated South Carolina 4-1 on Friday, Sept. 1, and the win was head coach Mike Noonan’s 300th career victory.
• Clemson is ranked No. 5 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll, making it one of five ACC teams in the top 10. The Tigers have been ranked in the top 10 of this poll for 27 straight weeks.
• Clemson is ranked No. 10 in 2017’s first RPI rankings, which were released on Monday.

Notre Dame Notes:

• Notre Dame is coming off a 2-1 overtime win over Northwestern on Tuesday. Felicien Dumas and Jon Gallagher both scored goals late in the match to seal the victory for the Fighting Irish.
• Gallagher is the Fighting Irish leading scorer with seven goals on the year, and he is tied with two Wake Forest players for third in the ACC with that mark. He also ranks first in the ACC in shots per game, having taken 50 in 10 matches.
• Chris Hubbard has played every minute of all 10 matches in goal for Notre Dame, allowing eight goals against 22 saves.
• Hubbard ranks third in the ACC, just ahead of Clemson’s Miralles, in goals against average (0.77).
• Notre Dame is ranked No. 9 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll and No. 7 in the first RPI rankings released on Monday.

Series Notes:

• Notre Dame has won or the teams have tied in each of the teams’ last four matchups. The Tigers’ last victory in the series came in 2001.
• The last time the two teams met was in 2015, a 1-0 win for the Fighting Irish in South Bend, Ind. Both teams were ranked in the top 10 at the time.
• Dating back to 2001, Notre Dame leads the overall series 3-2-1.
