CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson Tigers will host UMass for a non-conference matchup on Monday, October 24. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. with the match slated to stream live on ACCNX.
The Tigers enter the match 8-5-1 following a 1-0 loss to No. 11 Louisville on the road. The Tigers currently sit in fourth place in the Atlantic Division of the ACC while UMass (6-1-7) resides in fifth place in the A10.
Friday marks just the second meeting between the two programs. The lone matchup occured in 2018 and resulted in a 0-0 draw at UMass.
Tigers’ standout Ousmane Sylla has led the way for Clemson, scoring five goals and notching five assists in just ten matches thus far. He has tallied a point in seven of his 12 games played this season and is tied for fifth in the ACC in points per game (1.25).
He is joined at the top of Clemson’s scoring leaderboard by senior forward Mohamed Seye, who has assisted three of Sylla’s goals. He’s added three of his own and has also earned four points in two matches, bringing his point total on the season to ten. He’s tied for third most assists in the conference with six.
UMass comes into the match off a 1-1 tie vs. St. Bonaventure. Clemson is looking for its first win since October 3 and currently holds its first three match losing streak since 2018.
