CLEMSON, S.C. — The No. 17 Clemson Tigers will travel to North Carolina on Monday night to take on the 4-2-2 Tar Heels. The match will be broadcasted on ACC Network, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. 

The Tigers enter the match 7-2 and will be looking to bounce back from their home loss to No. 1 Wake Forest last Saturday. The Tigers currently sit in fourth place in the Atlantic Division of the ACC, with North Carolina in fifth place of the Coastal Division.

Clemson is 30-28-7 all-time against North Carolina, with the Tigers holding a 134-101 advantage in total goals. Most recently, Clemson won a thrilling ACC quarterfinal match at Historic Riggs Field, defeating the Tar Heels 2-1 to advance to the semifinals in 2021. 

Tigers’ standout Ousmane Sylla has led the way for Clemson, scoring four goals and notching five assists in just seven matches thus far. He has tallied a point in six of his seven games played this season and leads the ACC in points per game (1.86). 

He is joined at the top of Clemson’s scoring leaderboard by senior forward Mohamed Seye, who has assisted three of Sylla’s goals. He’s added two of his own and has also earned four points in two matches, bringing his point total on the season to ten. He’s tied for the conference lead in assists with six.

North Carolina is looking to build off its most recent result, a 1-0 victory at Notre Dame.
