CLEMSON, S.C. – For the fifth time in six years, Clemson men’s soccer (14-2-3, 5-2-1 ACC) will play for an ACC Tournament Title. The No. 2-seed Tigers downed Cal, 3-2, on Thursday night to earn the right to take on No. 5-seed Wake Forest (10-4-6, 4-2-2 ACC) on Sunday. The championship match will take place at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C., with kickoff on the ACC Network set for 12:00 p.m.
ACC Freshman of the Year Ransford Gyan netted the game-winner in the 65′ to advance the Tigers past the Golden Bears, who had rallied from a 2-0 deficit to tie the match. Wake Forest dominated Virginia in the first semifinal, downing the Cavaliers 5-1.
