Dimelon Westfield Named ACC Player of the Week

Clemson’s Dimelon Westfield was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week as announced by the league’s office Monday afternoon. Westfield led the Tigers to a 2-1 victory over in-state rival South Carolina in Columbia, SC Sunday afternoon.

Westfield, a Morvant, Trinidad native, scored both goals against No. 9 South Carolina on Sunday to secure the win. On the year, Westfield has 11 goals and two assists for a total of 24 points. The senior from Morvant, Trinidad has scored nine goals in the last five matches. The victory over the Gamecocks improves Clemson’s record to 7-1-1.
