GREENSBORO, N.C. – Clemson freshman forward K.C. Onyeador and Wake Forest sophomore forward Andy Lubahn were named Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Co-Players of the Week after helping their teams to unbeaten marks last week.
Onyeador came off the bench in both of Clemson’s matches last week to lead his unranked Tigers to a 1-0-1 record, including a 3-1 win over NC State. The rookie from Sterling, Va., scored the tying goal against Wofford earlier in the week, and then registered one goal and an assist on the game-winning score against the Wolfpack.
This season, Onyeador has five goals and two assists for 12 points. He is second on the team in scoring with the 12 points.
Lubahn scored the first hat trick of his career in leading Wake Forest to a 4-3 win over Boston College on Oct. 30.
Clemson is back on the field on Friday, battling ACC foe North Carolina.
The 2010 ACC Men’s Soccer Championship will once again be held at the WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C., beginning Tuesday, Nov. 9. Seedings and match-ups will be announced on Sunday evening, Nov. 8.
