CLEMSON, SC–Clemson’s crowd of 6,336 at Historic Riggs Field on August 31, for the men’s soccer match against South Carolina ranks as the second largest crowd in the nation so far this season.

The crowd of 4,783 that attended the Clemson-Gardner-Webb match at Historic Riggs Field on September 2, is the sixth largest in the nation so far this year.

Soccer America released a list of the top men’s crowds in the nation for the first two weeks.

The Clemson-South Carolina match was also the sixth largest crowd in school history at Historic Riggs Field.

The largest crowd at Clemson’s Historic Riggs Field was 8,332 in the championship game of the NCAA Tournament. Clemson defeated San Diego State 2-0 on December 6, 1987 to claim the National Championship.
