CLEMSON, SC – Clemson Head Men’s Soccer Coach, Mike Noonan, has announced the addition of Brown University graduate, Thomas McNamara to the roster.McNamara graduated from Brown and has one year of eligibility remaining to play soccer. He will enroll in graduate school at Clemson in January.McNamara tied as the Bruins’ leading scorer in 2012. He had five goals and two assists for 12 points. Brown finished the season 13-3-3 overall and 4-1-2 in the Ivy League in 2012. He also had two game-winners last season.Brown was defeated by Maryland in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. McNamara was named first-team All-Northeast by the NSCAA and First-Team All Ivy League last year.The midfielder from West Nyack, NY played in just four games in 2011 before suffering a season-ending injury.In 2010 he was a second-team All-Ivy choice and a third-team NSCAA All-Northeast Region selection. He had three goals and four assists for 10 points.During his freshman season, he scored five goals and all of them were game-winners. He tied for the team lead with five goals.
