Alumni in the Pros: October 26

Alumni of the Clemson men’s soccer program put together a series of well-rounded performances across the landscape of professional soccer last week!

MLS Recap

Amadou Dia earned the start and a full match for Sporting KC as his team cruised to a 4-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids.

Early in the week, Tommy McNamara earned the start and 59 minutes in the New England Revolution’s match against Joe Bendik and the Philadelphia Union. Bendik was on the bench for the match as the Union earned a 2-1 victory. Later in the week, McNamara earned another start and logged three shots and one shot on goal in 63 minutes of action. The Revolution earned a 1-1 draw against Nashville SC in the match.

Over the weekend, Bendik dressed as a member of the Union’s bench as the team earned a 5-0 victory over Toronto FC.

Robbie Robinson entered Inter Miami’s match against Orlando City SC in the 75th minute, helping his team close out a 2-1 victory over its rival.

Andrew Tarbell was on the bench for the Columbus Crew’s 1-1 draw with the Houston Dynamo.

USL Championship

Kyle Murphy and the Tampa Bay Rowdies are moving on! The Rowdies earned a 2-1 victory over Louisville City FC in the Eastern Conference Finals of the USL Championship playoffs. Murphy was a member of the bench in his side’s effort.

USL League One 

Paul Clowes entered in the 45th minute for Greenville Triumph SC as his side went on to earn a 4-1 victory over Orlando City B. During his time on the field, Clowes completed 93 percent of his passes and registered one shot and one clearance.

Tanner Dieterich and the Chattanooga Red Wolves closed out their 2020 campaign by earning a 2-1 victory over the Richmond Kickers. Dieterich earned the start and played 90 minutes while contributing one shot and one interception.

International 

Iman Mafi was a part of a 4-2 victory for FK Jerv over Oygarden. Mafi played in the first 76 minutes before being subbed off.

Oliver Shannon played a full match with Bala Town as his side went on to earn a 2-1 victory over Flint Town United in the Welsh Premier League.

Ximo Miralles was a part of FC Numancia’s nil-nil draw with Cultural Leonesa in Segunda Division B play.
