Alumni of the Clemson men’s soccer program made an impact across the country in what proved to be another great week of professional soccer!
Tommy McNamara made his debut at the MLS is Back Tournament as he came on at the end of the Houston Dyanmo’s match against the Portland Timbers, logging one shot during his time. Houston fell to Portland, 2-1.
Amadou Dia saw his first action down in Orlando as he came on for Sporting KC in the closing stages of the team’s match against the Colorado Rapids. Dia’s side was victorius, winning 3-2. Dia was mic’d up in training last week and was having fun with teammates during small-sided play!

Andrew Tarbell dressed for the Columbus Crew’s match against the New York Red Bulls on July 16, as the Crew won by a final score of 2-0.
Joe Bendik dressed for the Philadelphia Union’s match against Inter Miami CF, with the Union winning 2-1.
Kyle Murphy came on for the Tampa Bay Rowdies in the 56th minute of his side’s match against North Carolina FC. Murphy logged one shot as the match ended in a 2-2 draw.
Phanuel Kavita was given the captain’s armband for his side’s match against Louisville City FC, with Saint Louis winning by a final score of 1-0.

Jack Metcalf logged a full 90 minutes for the San Diego Loyal in his side’s match against LA Galaxy II, with the Loyal falling to the Galaxy 1-0.
Cody Mizell was in net for New Mexico United in their match against El Paso Locomotive FC, with the two sides playing to a 2-2 draw. Mizell made four saves in 90 minutes of action.
