Clemson United was well represented across the landscape of professional soccer this past week with an exciting slate of achievements earned by alumni!
Two former members of the Clemson men’s soccer program, Miles Joseph and Rohan Sachdev, helped the Portland Timbers win the championship at the MLS is Back Tournament as members of the Front Office, with Joseph serving as an assistant coach and Sachdev working as the head of analysis for the club.
Tommy McNamara became a member of the New England Revolution earlier in the day, joining the Revolution following 18 months with the Houston Dynamo.

Cody Mizell earned the shutout in net for New Mexico United as his side was victorious over Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC via a 1-0 result. Mizell was called upon to make three saves throughout the match.

Phanuel Kavita wore the captain’s armband in his side’s 3-1 victory over Sporting KC. Kavita played a full match and contributed five tackles and two clearances.
Kyle Murphy and the Tampa Bay Rowdies earned four points throughout the week, with Murphy earning the start and 45 minutes of action in the midweek victory for his side, while entering in the 79th minute during the weekend draw.
Jack Metcalf‘s San Diego Loyal side suffered consecutive 2-0 defeats over the past week, with Metcalf logging a full 90 minutes of play in both matches as a member of his side’s midfield unit.
Malick Mbaye was a member of the 18-man squad for North Carolina FC in the side’s match against Birmingham Legion FC.
Tanner Dieterich made his professional debut by entering this past Friday’s match for the Chattanooga Red Wolves in the 68th minute. The Red Wolves lost, 1-0, to the Greenville Triumph. Paul Clowes dressed for the Triumph in the match.

Diego Campos and Iman Mafi were both members of the starting eleven for FK Jerv earlier in the day during the club’s match against Tromso. Campos played 86 minutes as FK Jerv went on to win, 1-0. Earlier in the week, Jerv played to a 1-1 draw against Raufoss.
