CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson freshman Kwaku Agyabeng has been named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced today by the league office. The award is Agyabeng’s first ACC Defensive Player of the Week honor of his career and the fourth ACC Player of the Week award for the Tigers this season.
Friday night Agyabeng netted his first goal of his career in a dominant 3-0 win over No. 10 Duke. Agyabeng scored the first goal for the Tigers Friday night to mark their third win over a top-10 opponent this season. This season, the Kumasi, Ghana, native has started all 13 matches this season.
