CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson Women’s rowing program opens their spring racing season Saturday on Lake Hartwell. Clemson plays host to Duke and North Carolina for the 18th Annual Carolina Cup. The three programs will race for points in hopes of claiming the Daughtry Cup. Clemson last won the event in 2016.
The three schools will compete in the First Varsity 8+, Second Varsity 8+, Third Varsity 8+, Fourth Varsity 8+, First Varsity 4+ and Second Varsity 4+. The first race of the day is the 3V8 and 4V8, which gets underway at 8:30 a.m. The 1V8 will conclude the team competition at approximately 9:18 a.m. Additional scrimmage pieces will follow, but will not be part of the team scoring.
